Seeding is a more cost effective way to achieve a new lawn. Once the area is graded out, and all rocks and other debris are removed, we apply our commercial 99 percent germination fescue all transition turf blend. Followed by applying the seed, we then apply starter fertilizer to help enhance the rate of growth of the newly planted seed. Finally, we apply straw over the seed to help lock in the moisture and ensure the seed will not be removed. If seeding on a hill, special measures such as straw blankets may need to be used in order to keep the seed from washing away. We also offer other types of seeding such as spot seeding, in which we will scratch the surface of where the seed will be applied, followed by applying seed and Penn Mulch, a seed starter enhancer mulch which also keeps seed in contact with the ground.
