Turf Maintenance

We cover all aspects of you lawn needs.

Dethatching is the process of running a power rake machine over the turf. This machine has flails that when engaged, rip the layer of thatch, or dead grass, out from underneath the healthy blades of grass. After running the power rake over the lawn, the thatch is blown into piles using commercial grade backpack blowers, and hauled off site. Often times, customers do this prior to lawn aeration in order to get the best result. Reducing the thatch layer allows more water and valuable nutrients to get to your turf. The proper time to dethatch your lawn is spring or fall.
